Next Time You Have a Wedding, Prom or Other Big Event To Go To and Have a Lot of Crap To fit Into a Teeny, Tiny Purse, Keep This Makeup Tip in Mind - Makeup and Beauty Blog
Why are dainty, diminutive clutches and so darned popular at fancy parties and events?
I hateful, they're kind of inconvenient. Because they're then tiny, they don't steal whatsoever thunder from the dresses (always a good matter), and then I guess that's probably the reason, but dang if they aren't totally impractical.
In my hotel room on Monday, every bit I rushed to get gear up and struggled to clasp everything I wanted/needed to bring with me to the show into the spritely Whiting & Davis Aureate Mesh Clutch, I started to panic a lilliputian.
The clutch was just also small.
I'd planned to practise a heavier full-coverage wait for my foundation and pulverization and touch information technology upwardly at dark with a powder compact, rather than just with blotting papers (I felt similar the powder would do a amend task keeping everything intact).
Only between my phone, keys, one lipstick, a lip liner, gloss and, um…a cardboard cutout of my true cat, there was no room left in the clutch! — which was incidentally smaller than my size 7 shoes.
Every bit usual, I was hurrying. I had to go. Information technology was the last infinitesimal, literally. Then I got an thought.
I grabbed one of the small plastic numberless I brought with me in my behave-on to store the chargers and cables for my gadgets which, I know, might audio a little obsessive/compulsive, but I practice it to keep them from getting tangled up.
Side by side, I loaded a few cotton wool pads with powder from the meaty and dropped them into the now-empty plastic bag. Then I airtight information technology upwards and squeezed it into the clutch.
Et voila! Plenty pulverisation for the night. 🙂
Now, if I hadn't had a plastic handbag with me, I could accept washed this with a paper towel, or maybe even some toilet paper (cue desperation), but the bag fabricated information technology easier and less messy.
Same thought would too work with blush and highlighter, or really any powdered makeup. Merely be careful to pat (and not swipe) when you lot apply them, lest you wipe out your look, and don't forget to blend out those edges with your fingers.
Next time you accept a wedding, prom or other big event to go to and take a lot of crap to fit into a teeny, tiny purse, keep this tip in mind (and a plastic handbag on paw)!
Your friendly neighborhood dazzler aficionado,
Karen
